First Baptist Church is a community of believers in Jesus Christ who are committed to love God and make disciples.
When Jesus was asked, "What is the greatest commandment?", His reply was, "Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself." When Jesus met with His followers after His resurrection, He instructed them to "Go and make disciples of all the nations." We believe these two things sum up the purpose of First Baptist Church in Flowery Branch -- "Love God, Make Disciples!"

First Baptist Church has existed in its location since 1872. The Flowery Branch, or "Blossom Creek," actually runs through our property! Pastor Michael Moore was called as our pastor in 2020. We have longtime members, others who have just recently joined, and others who are just visiting on Sundays. People of all ages attend, and we have vibrant youth and children's ministries, Sunday School for all ages, and wonderful opportunities to serve the Lord in meaningful ministry.
First Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church, a part of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board and the Chattahoochee Baptist Association. We support missions worldwide, preach the gospel, believe the Bible, and seek to reach souls with the Good News of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
